About me
Hello, I am Maksym (also known as Max) and welcome to my academic portfolio website!
I am currently on leave from the mathematics PhD program at Simon Fraser University. My doctoral advisor is Ben Adcock. My designated research topics are in active learning for operator learning via Christoffel sampling and developing acceleration schemes for stochastic optimization algorithms.
I have previously completed a MSc in applied mathematics at Simon Fraser University. Prior to that, I worked as a data scientist for Statistics Canada for about 1.5 years in conjunction with completing an undergraduate degree in mathematics.
